A successful seasonal celebration was enjoyed by all!
Walka Water Works was once again full of the colour and laughter of Linuwel children as we celebrated Autumn with our annual Autumn games day. The festivities began with the Kindergarten children proudly speaking their ‘Welcome to Country’ morning verse before the whole school walked together through the bush and around the water. The bell was rung for the games to begin! Following a circuit, the classes participated in some tried and true games from the past; like sack races, egg and spoon races and tug-of-war. The children also got to test their balancing skills on the tight rope! After lunch the day ended with the fun of the whole school Red Rover Cross Over where teachers and children joined together in the game of tips. Once again it was noted by all how beautifully the high school children participated in the games along with the ever enthusiastic primary school children. A perfect way and day to welcome in Autumn!
